Directions by Train or Bus
| Broxbourne Station is on the
Liverpool Street to Cambridge line. There is a regular service from London, Cambridge,
Harlow, Bishops Stortford, Enfield, Hertford, Ware. Average journey time from
Liverpool Street is just under 30 minutes. There is now also a direct service to
Stratford. Nazeing Glass Works is approx
half a mile walk from the station: At the end of the station approach road turn
left and follow Nazeing New Road for around half a mile to Nazeing Glass, which is just
after the river bridge. Although there is a pavement all the way, Nazeing New Road
is often busy. A quieter alternative route is through the station car park to
Broxbourne Old Mill and Meadows (follow signs to the Lea Valley Walk), cross the river to
the Crown public house and follow the towpath north. Nazeing Glass is to the right
just after the road bridge. Alternatively catch either a 392 or 320 bus from
Broxbourne Station to Nazeing Glass (which is the first stop after the station - journey
time around 1 minute). Route 392 runs hourly during the day between Harlow, Nazeing, Broxbourne and Hoddesdon (Rye Park). Route 320 also links Nazeing Glass with Broxbourne Station and Hoddesdon hourly, but only runs Mon-Fri between 10am and 2pm. Bus route 505 links Harlow, Chingford and Waltham Abbey with Nazeing, but does not pass Nazeing Glass. Alight at Nazeing Crossroads and either walk towards Broxbourne (approx 1 mile) or catch route 392 towards Rye Park or 320 towards Broxbourne. |
